@KellyGToGo Visual literacy is awesome! I teach _Persepolis_ (to IB students as a work in translation) and _March_ (to 11th graders), and then students create their own graphic novels. Both have had incredible student engagement.

@filledwithjoy1 I do this, too—it saves a lot of time (which we have very little of!) to know which rooms to attend, since not all kids will “summon” if struggling.
@KellyGToGo I was an editor for 10 years before becoming a teacher, and all of these automatically set off little (okay, loud and irritating) warning bells in my head except one: “bring/take.” Guess I need to add a bell!
