I love when people hate a book I like and they say “Did we read the same book?” No. No we did not. Every single person reads every single book from a different perspective and my world experience is not the same as yours. Don’t read the book again and move on with your life. ✌️
@theclique_uk Hi!
I am an ardent reader and an ardent writer. I recently wrote a poem called 'Would You?'. It's the kind I don't write too often so I would love to know what you think about it!

@kalventure I only don’t reread them because I’m so busy wanting to read everything else, not because I don’t have the desire to! The one book I reread turned out to be just as great as I remembered!

Lies book lovers tell themselves
✶ our Hogwarts letter got lost
✶ pre orders don't count in our book buying bans
✶ we'll read all the books we own one day
✶ we won't buy more books if we visit a book store
✶ we have to own every edition of our favourite books
I feel sorry for Netflix era kids. They will never know the high stakes adrenaline of running to the bathroom/fridge/bedroom in a single ad break, with the beckoning call of a sibling screaming “It’s ONNNNNN” to send you hurdling over furniture to get back in time.
Review: Stalking Jack the Ripper
Crime, Historical Fiction, Mystery, and the morgue. CHECK OUT THIS AMAZING take on Jack the Ripper and pursuing forensic medicine in the 19th century!

the *worst* way to get kids interested in books is to force them to read books they don’t like.
if they like stories about wizards, don’t make them read novels about a middle-aged man having an affair. readers are made by finding a story and falling in love with it.
Gender reveal party but inside the cake the knife stops.
The sheepish father tries but can't cut through.
They eventually scrape cake away to reveal... a book.
The child will be a writer.
The room falls silent but for the sound of someone weeping in a corner.
I love being reminded of times I thought/said problematic things, bc I think about how far I've come. No one is born knowing everything. Education & improvement is continuous w/ no benchmarks, timelines, or finish lines. Don't beat yourself up for mistakes. I'll try that too. 🤗
