@johnrich WHY are we using viable farm and pasture land for solar anything?
The perfect place for solar panels exists on every open sun accessible roof, parking lot, or roadway dead space. Where we should NOT put solar is on any farm/ranch land. Ever. That's just dumb.
@Cloud1a7 64 trips for me. (sand sad there were no balloons or confetti this year, ah well) My friend called and sang to me which is a highlight every year.
@dayville_girl Hi! It gets easier, but your body must recover from the trauma. Yes, you experienced trauma. On Fb a page Grief in Common helped; you can read posts, join discussions, do what feels ok for you on any given day. Keep up your health & try to get good sleep.
@sweetcarolinatv I was in a daze the first 6 mos. Saw a neurologist since I couldn't remember things from day to day. Your body was traumatized; it needs time to stabilize. Try to find widow's groups who might have resources for $ mgt. & tell those you pay bills to of your circumstances.
@Susiehs@BuenoForMiami the "bag beds" at left were nice for quick growing plants like lettuces, radishes. Large bag of garden soil: poke holes in bottom to drain, cut out top. Hand watering was a drawback but no weeds was a plus.
@Susiehs@BuenoForMiami The book Square Foot Gardening was helpful to me for box beds. And read about companion planting, too. I used metal fencing for trellises; squash did very well! Tomato cages for manyplants to keep off the ground = fewer bugs.
