@miucciavversace@Odetteforwomyn But at the same time I think this is all theoretical. Someone can have a very mild form of Treacher Collins and it is largely undetected until they have children. But they are still someone with Treacher Collins. I also think this contest of “who has it worse” lacks nuance.
@miucciavversace@Odetteforwomyn I don’t think you’ve grasped that my argument is not about op’s point at all, I think it’s true that women who don’t adhere to societal standards are mistreated more than men who do not adhere. But it’s true that a man with Treacher Collins is mistreated more than a fat woman.
@bisousluv@Odetteforwomyn Yes, because people have a tendency to make it seem like people with my condition are “far away” because of how rare it is. But I saw her tweet that it is unfair for people to be kind to a man with my condition if they are unkind to someone else. But that isn’t his fault.
@miucciavversace@Odetteforwomyn “Always get grace?” That’s false and you know it. I agree with the fact that a woman’s appearance is highly valued to a significantly damaging degree but men with facial deformities are mistreated. That idea doesn’t disprove women are mistreated if they don’t adhere to standards.
@Odetteforwomyn I get it, I just think your ideology is promoting a societal race to the bottom instead of just being nice to both people you screenshotted. Why is someone with my condition “unfairly” supported? I think not bullying the disabled or fat people is the minimum.
@hrstaep@obamasfatcock@Odetteforwomyn You called me a narcissist and said I deserved to get bullied more, to me you’re part of the problem you’re trying to describe. So why are you trying to tell me that I’m a victim?
@obamasfatcock@Odetteforwomyn OP’s argument is obviously her saying “why are people being so nice to this guy when he’s so much uglier than this fat girl? It’s because he’s a guy!” No, it’s because nice people at least pity us. People like her just call us ugly and dehumanize us.
@obamasfatcock@Lu3as_BVBFT@Odetteforwomyn I’m in a private Facebook group for people with my condition. What you’re saying is not the case. Many men in this group talk about being beaten up as kids, kids running away from them in fear, being isolated and discriminated against all their lives…aren’t we a better source?
@obamasfatcock@Odetteforwomyn Building your understanding of the world based on the behavior of people on the internet is a bad idea. The internet is humanity’s cesspit. An analysis of how disabled men are treated shouldn’t be based off how one guy was treated online one time. It’s an exception.
