Occasional tweets as I attempt to walk and cycle (maybe even run) every public right of way on our local OS Map (139) in North Devon. Some other stuff too!
I’ve been visiting the wonderful book shed https://t.co/UP5eLcVf4k (free books/book swaps) for a few years now. The folks who provided it have just lost their home & everything to a fire. Their art studio survived. Their work may well interest some of you. https://t.co/eCgM9DtEQP
Foliate spewing head, Beverley Minster. #GreenMan.
I was hoping to find the (Lewis Carroll inspiring) rabbit carving at nearby St Mary’s church, but it was closed. Although there were great carvings outside, including these cat/demon faces.
If you get a chance, visit Lanhydrock NT in Cornwall and get on the scaffold for a close up look at the C17th plaster ceiling created by the Abbot family from N.Devon. Absolutely stunning. The scaffold (for cleaning/conserving) will be there until October.
Enjoy the pooing cat!
