@baribyte Scientific articles are meant for other academics so I don’t agree with sacrificing specificity for layman’s terms. They should be capable of it tho. Scientific communication training is so important. It’s a whole job for some people.

@baribyte My former PI, probably the smartest woman I’ve ever met, was an amazing writer and had no problem adjusting her writing for her audience. But my PI could always point out when scientists were using “smart” verbiage that muddled their message in their papers.
