@AlinejadMasih@jk_rowling And no one protected her. People walked around smiling and laughing as if they didn’t know she was likely to be murdered for this. Imagine if 100 students stood around her and protected her. Imagine if a thousand did.
@_blusiara @briallenhopper You're missing OP's intent. She agrees with you, obviously. Her retort was based on the literal PhD not understanding the value of a barista's labor. She valued a barista a certain way, so the retort was intended to value her in the same way.
@MyBrainDrip @briallenhopper That's a bit of a simplistic boil-down. People have been TOLD they don't want or need it. But we do. We've built a society/economy based on financially rewarding certain things and not others. That's our fault.
@Val_Filomata @briallenhopper Yeah, I think OP agrees and that's almost evident in the post. The retort is not based on us not understanding what PhDs contribute; the retort is based on this literal PhD not understanding the value of the Barista's labor.
@tressiemcphd You were right. We honestly don't talk/understand enough about the wide-reaching consequences of a BB infestation. Due to their nature, they affect the most primal part of our emotions/brains. (sleep, difficulty to kill, difficulty of seeing them)
@robattitudev3 Honestly it’s confusing as to why you still talk about her so damn much, especially to put her down in absolutely nonsensical ways. Referencing Lizzo’s body for body positivity has literally nothing to do with the current scandal, and still stands. So what’s your point…
i know i complain about this all the time but i really wish transphobes would learn what part of speech "trans* is. "trans is being normalized. I work with trans. people should do something about trans" WTF are you talking about madison
@falseroxy More context to my response - some ppl have stated they have food paranoia or other versions of that. My version is that I absolutely HATE wasting food. Not a moral thing, a poverty trauma thing. Food anxiety.
@falseroxy I go by taste, smell, look. I notice certain foods regularly last well beyond their stated exp date, like organic milk or lactose free milk.
@Heart4Carolina@tressiemcphd Or, sometimes, when no one has ever said no to you, or made you stop, and you're used to taking up a lot of space in a room, you continue to be insufferable.
@tressiemcphd My ex did this routinely (monologue), but his conclusion was that I was NOT a good listener. It wasn't enough for him. The narcissist's mind is fascinating.
