For example, I am looking at new builds in Ayr. The developer will rent for $2400-$2600/m. Or you can buy starting at $700k. NEITHER IS AFFORDABLE if you live of bottom range of income.

Somehow stop having non-residents buy up homes here, rent astronomical $. Protection for those who can only afford to rent. If bank rates go up, taxes go up, gas up, utilities up, food up .... wages aren't going up. So why would anything we ask help?

I own a house. I can't sell it because I can't afford to buy. I can't find a reasonable rental. I'm on disability $, and house poor. No medical insurance. Can't meet bills, so want to sell house.
