Evelyn giggles, not waiting to take a bite — especially if her sister has eaten her cake already.
“That is very kind. Thank you, Evie!” She beams, crinkling her nose.
“Where did you get ‘em from?”
"Yes!"
There it is, her favourite word. When she doesn't know what to say but knows that something needs to be said. Bouncing on her heels, she's watching closely.
"I already had mine but I saved it for you!"
Evie shuffles to carefully readjust herself, shifting Evelyn's weight across her body evenly.
"Yep. Now, get some sleep please. I'm not in the mood for grumpy Evelyn."
She hides a little smile as she starfishes on top of her, nestling her head against her shoulder again.
“Hm.” Evelyn hums, her eyes already growing heavy again.
