What does the future of the Gary Sinise Foundation look like?
On this week's episode of the Gary Sinise Foundation Podcast, members of our Executive Leadership Team reflect on the Foundation's 15-year journey, the legacy Gary has built, and the vision for the future.
What began with one person deciding to serve has grown into a movement dedicated to supporting our nation's defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families. As the Foundation looks ahead, one thing remains unchanged: a commitment to serving with the same heart, compassion, and gratitude that inspired its beginning.
Tune in for a meaningful conversation about the mission, the people behind it, and the legacy that will continue for generations to come. Listen now at https://t.co/qPMYhPiIa4 🎙️💙
As we celebrate 15 years of service, we're looking back at the programs that have helped make a difference across the country.
Through our First Responder Outreach program, we've had the privilege of strengthening fire departments, EMS agencies, and law enforcement organizations by providing critical equipment, training, and resources. From turnout gear and rescue boats to specialized equipment that saves lives, these investments help ensure those who answer the call are prepared when their communities need them most.
Thank you to the American people for making this mission possible. Here's to 15 years of serving those who serve. 💙🚒🚓🚑
One of the beautiful songs with vocals on Resurrection & Revival: Part 3 began as a few pages of lyrics in Mac's journal.
Years ago, my friend @johnondrasik of Five for Fighting got to know and love Mac. Mac even played drums with John on a few occasions. While working on this album, I came across lyrics Mac had written for something he called “Sleepy Song” and immediately thought of John.
It’s a wonderful concept Mac had, his diary speaking to him at night, urging him to, “Let your thoughts pour out.”
I sent John pages of lyrics and a short piano piece that Mac had recorded. John embraced the idea and helped transform those journal pages into a beautiful song. Most of the lyrics come directly from Mac, with John adding some great touches here and there including the touching line, "And if you miss me, I am never gone."
As a father, it's hard to put into words what it means to hear Mac's creativity come to life in this way. I don't think he ever imagined these lyrics would become a song shared with the world.

We had such a great time recording Resurrection & Revival: Part 3 that I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes fun from the studio.
At one point, everyone decided to show up dressed as Lt. Dan. Imagine my surprise when everyone showed up in bandanas, Hawaiian shirts, and some very impressive wigs. Needless to say, there were a lot of laughs that day.
This project has been incredibly special to me. As Mac's dad, it's been an honor to help bring his music to life and share it with all of you. I'm grateful to everyone who poured their hearts into this album and helped celebrate Mac's creativity, talent, and spirit.
Hope you enjoy this glimpse behind the scenes.

Mac Sinise Resurrection & Revival: Part 3 is available NOW!
Just recently, we had the opportunity to host a special listening party, bringing together many of the talented musicians, family members, and collaborators who helped make this album possible. It was a truly meaningful evening as we gathered to hear some of the music, view some of the new videos and celebrate the music and legacy of Mac Sinise.
Executive Produced by Gary Sinise and featuring a moving collection of music written by his late son, Mac Sinise, in partnership with many of his pals, this album is a heartfelt tribute to Mac's creativity, passion, and enduring spirit. Many of the songs began as melodies and musical ideas Mac recorded and saved over the years. With the help of family, friends, and talented collaborators, those pieces were brought to life and transformed into the album you can hear today.
Even more meaningful, 100% of album sales benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation and our mission to serve our nation's defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families - just as Mac wanted.

Thank you to all who fought and sacrificed in freedoms defense all those years ago. Incredible footage here. Blessed that both my uncles survived and will never forget the over 400,000 who did not come home.
Hey all you drummer fans out there. Here I am at a recording session for the new Mac Sinise Resurrection and Revival Part Three album with one of the great American drummers, Gregg Bisonette. Gregg plays on the new track Blue Blood and Ivory. One of 31 songs on the record available for presale now and coming on Father's Day 2026!
It was an honor to be with the families of fallen heroes as they walked in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. this Memorial Day. Spending time together in remembrance of their loved ones, and honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, is something I hold deeply in my heart.
We remember them always.
Today, on National Maritime Day, we honor the courageous men and women of the United States Merchant Marines.
For generations, Merchant Mariners have played a critical role in supporting our nation - transporting troops, supplies, and resources across dangerous waters during times of war and peace. Their service and sacrifice has helped sustain both our military and our country through some of history’s most challenging moments.
We are grateful for the enduring legacy of the U.S. Merchant Marines and all who continue to serve. ⚓🇺🇸
It was an honor to spend time with our nation’s heroes at Walter Reed this week during a Serving Heroes event. Taking a moment to share a meal, a conversation, and some gratitude is a small way to say thank you for all they have sacrificed in service to our country.
I’m always inspired when I visit and humbled by the strength, resilience, and spirit of those recovering. I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them and their families. 🇺🇸
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend for families carrying loss.
For Michele Davis, Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom came at a cost - and that remembrance matters long after the celebrations end.
Twenty years after losing her husband, First Lieutenant Jason W. Davis, Michele reflects on grief, healing, raising a son while carrying loss, and the community that reminded her family they were never alone.

In 2025, I found a chart Mac had written in college with his pal in the USC Pop Music program, Brett Fromson. It’s called Blue Blood and Ivory. Turned out Oliver Schnee knew Brett from college and put me in touch. I asked Brett if he’d like to shape it up and record the song. Brett was totally game and on September 1st 2025, we were recording at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. The same studio where everything began for Mac, recording Arctic Circles on July 17, 2023.
Oliver produced, Brett sings lead, and we pulled together Mac’s pals Jake Hays, Alex Morgan and Brandon Woodward to help out. Also, vocalist Lou Roy. She sings three songs on Resurrection and Revival: Part Two, and it was so nice to have her come by to lend her incredible talent to Part Three.
In addition to all these great folks, I invited Mac’s drum mentor and pal Gregg Bisonette to come play drums on this rockin’ tune. Gregg is always on the road playing somewhere in the world and we were fortunate that the night before the session he arrived back home from a tour and could do it. Gregg playing on the record was so special. I know he did it for Mac and has told me many times that Mac was one of his favorite people. Mac loved Gregg and I know he’s tickled pink that Gregg and all his pals play on Blue Blood and Ivory. We added a few nice drum fills so Gregg could cut loose for Mac.
Enjoy this rockin’ tune from Mac Sinise Resurrection and Revival: Part Three.

National Police Week honors the law enforcement officers who ran toward the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Their courage in the face of the unthinkable saved lives and held the line when it mattered most. We remember them this week and every week.
Joni Lamb lived her life pointing people to the Light that shines in the darkness.
Through every storm, every battle, and every victory, her message remained the same: God is not through with you. Your past does not define your future. It’s never too late for healing, hope, and the Father’s love.
She reminded millions that they were created for such a time as this… and that on the other side of this life is eternity. More than anything, she wanted people to know Jesus and be ready to meet Him.
Her voice may be missed here on earth, but her legacy lives on in every life changed by the hope she carried so boldly. And just like she always said… “It’s a good story coming up.” 🤍
