Bookmarks do not have to live inside one browser account. Three self-hosted options to compare:

• linkding: minimal, tag-based bookmarking with Docker setup.
• Karakeep: saves links, notes and images; adds search and optional AI tagging.
• Linkwarden: collaborative collections plus webpage preservation.

All three require you to handle updates, backups and access control. Check the licenses and deployment docs before exposing an instance online.

Your notes do not have to begin in a vendor cloud. Three open-source options make different trade-offs:

• Joplin is offline-first and can sync through services you choose; its end-to-end encryption must be enabled on one device first, and the master password cannot be recovered.
• Logseq keeps a local knowledge base, but its newer database/mobile/real-time-collaboration work is still beta or alpha—keep backups and avoid making a test graph your only copy.
• AppFlowy can run entirely on one machine for local exploration, but its local-host route requires Docker, Git, and setup work.

来自熟人的 WhatsApp 意外附件，也可能是被接管账号发出的恶意文件。

新加坡网络安全局近日提示：已有多起报告称，攻击者通过被入侵的 WhatsApp 账号分发伪装成业务文件或普通附件的恶意文件。用户下载并打开后，文件可能在未经本人同意的情况下继续发给联系人；风险包括设备被入侵、账号凭据泄露、WhatsApp Web 会话被劫持，以及在线银行活动被监控。

收到意外附件时，不要只因发件人“看起来认识”就打开，尤其警惕 .exe、.iso、.zip；改用电话等可信渠道确认。若已打开，先断网并用安全软件扫描，检查 WhatsApp 的已关联设备、退出陌生会话并开启两步验证。通报没有披露全部恶意软件样本或受影响地区，不能据此判断任何具体文件一定有害。

手机与电脑协作，先分清是要投屏、同步通知，还是远程协助。这三款免费开源工具各有侧重：

① scrcpy：把 Android 屏幕显示在 Windows、macOS 或 Linux 电脑上，并用鼠标键盘操作。通常需开启 USB 调试、授权电脑，可通过 USB 或配置 TCP/IP；无需 root 和云账号。屏幕保护内容可能无法显示。

② KDE Connect：适合手机与电脑在同一网络时同步通知、打开链接等；两端安装并配对，功能依系统和权限而异，不等于完整手机投屏。访客网络隔离可能阻止发现设备。

③ RustDesk：适合远程协助；Android 被控需屏幕捕获授权，控制还需无障碍权限。可用公共服务器或自行部署免费开源服务端，后者需要服务器和网络配置；另有付费服务。不要把连接密码交给陌生人。

三者本地客户端免费，需兼容设备；远程网络或自建服务器可能产生费用。用完关闭不需要的调试、共享和无障碍权限。仅依据官方资料选型，未实机横评；核验：2026年10月29日。

收藏的网页可能改版或消失：想留一份可读副本，可以按需求选择这三款开源工具。

① SingleFile：浏览器扩展，将单页保存为 HTML 文件，适合偶尔离线查看；本地保存无需账号。部分动态内容、视频和嵌入页面可能保存不完整。AGPL-3.0 许可。
② wallabag：提取并整理文章，适合建立稍后阅读清单。自建软件免费、MIT 许可；需要服务器和安装配置，也可选择需注册的托管服务，费用以服务方为准。
③ ArchiveBox：自建网页归档，可保存多种格式，适合维护较大的资料库；免费、MIT 许可，推荐 Docker 部署，需电脑或服务器、存储空间及维护能力。

AI chatbots in New York will face new limits on features offered to children under 18, including pretending to be human or encouraging emotional dependency.

Governor Kathy Hochul signed the law on October 28. It takes effect January 1, 2027, and covers qualifying conversational AI used in New York; certain narrowly restricted customer-service and technical tools are exempt. Operators must offer more than one way to check age, including an option that does not rely on government ID or allows anonymity to the operator.

123 Reg customers are being warned that contact and account-related information was exposed in a September intrusion, creating a risk of more convincing impersonation attempts.

The domain registrar, owned by GoDaddy, began notifying customers this week. It told The Register on October 28 that affected data included names, phone numbers, account details and business VAT numbers. The company says the attacker’s activity was limited to reading data, but copies may have been made; it has not disclosed how many customers were affected.

Too many overlapping windows? These three free, open-source tools help organize your screen in different ways.

• FancyZones (Windows): drag windows into custom layouts; part of PowerToys. Elevated apps may require PowerToys to run as administrator.
• Rectangle (Mac): snap or resize with shortcuts and screen edges. The basic app is free; Rectangle Pro is separate and paid.
• AeroSpace (Mac): automatic tiling and keyboard-driven workspaces for users comfortable editing a config file. It is beta and its app is not notarized by Apple.

All three run locally without a cloud account; install a compatible version. Mac tools need Accessibility permission, so grant it only to software you trust. Layouts don't back up your work. Not hands-on tested; official docs checked October 29, 2026.
