“What You Want” is the lead single from Evanescence’s 2011 self-titled album. The track marked the band's return after a lengthy hiatus, featuring Amy Lee's signature powerful vocals blended with heavier production. Alien Ant Farm recorded Smooth Criminal without intending to release the track. The label liked the track so much that it made it the first single from the album Anthology (2001). It was a huge success: it reached #1 on the American alternative rock chart, sold over 1 million copies in the US alone and became the band's biggest hit. Michael Jackson loved the version so much that he personally called to congratulate the guys.
