Oscar De La Torre, VP & @NCDCL Business Manager, shares how he’s driving LIUNA’s mission across the NorCal region. Paul Hogrogian, VP & NPMHU President, brought the laughs—and the hard truths. Two leaders, same mission….#MarchToOneMillion
@Twolfrecovery@mattdorsey Your laser focused leadership here & your crystal clear critique of advocates historically “in charge” at City Hall, has already lead to a safer work environment for our 1,400 frontline essential @Liuna261pec in the Parks & on the Steeets. No more red carpet for drug tourism!
Thank you Mayor @DanielLurieSF for taking the time on your 100th 💯 day in office to visit our hard-working @sfrecpark gardeners and horticulturalists to recognize their efforts to keep our parks beautiful and world-class.
Our @LiUNA261 Pec Advocacy committee kept the ball by visiting and sharing with longtime Laborers friend and supporter, SF Supervisor @shamannwalton He gets it, and we can count on him! #LaborersRising#WeFightWeWin
🚨BREAKING UPDATE🚨
The Trump Administration signed an EO stripping Federal Enpkoyees of their collective bargaining rights.
This isn’t just an attack on federal workers—it’s an attack on all of us.
We will not back down.
We will not be silenced.
The labor movement will RISE UP—and we will fight back TOGETHER.

Today, I signed the Fentanyl State of Emergency Ordinance, marking a significant step in tackling the crisis on our streets.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of the Board of Supervisors, we are getting additional tools and authority to treat this like the emergency it is.
The fentanyl crisis isn’t a 9-5 operation. It doesn’t take breaks—and neither will we.
This new law will allow us to further surge resources and bypass bureaucratic hurdles standing our way.
Today, I am also proud to share the first step we will take with this new authority.
Thanks to the Fentanyl State of Emergency Ordinance, this spring, we will open a 24/7 police-friendly stabilization center at 822 Geary.
The center will be staffed by medical professionals. It will divert people from emergency departments and accept patients dropped off by police, paramedics, and street crisis response teams. This will free up essential hospital and first responder resources.
Using new leasing provisions provided by the Fentanyl State of Emergency Ordinance, we will be able to act quickly.
To those who are struggling, help is on the way. We are putting in place solutions that will reach you and give you the second chance you deserve.
To our first responders, law enforcement, public health clinicians, and community leaders, thank you for your tireless efforts. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed, and together, we are making a bold step toward a healthier, safer community.
This is our moment to act. And together, we will continue to push forward until the fentanyl crisis is behind us.
Went all in with the Police Officers Union, Firefighters Union, & Deputy Sheriffs to support Mayor @DanielLurie bold laser focused approach to making streets & parks safer for essential frontline workers & the citizens we serve. @LiUNA261 always promotes a safe work environment.
