@LoveLocalCle Quick question, just to be safe - your meat is always frozen in the bundle. This week, I received a package of pork chops which was not frozen. Just checking to see if you had any issues with one of your coolers and making sure that the meat should still be safe.
Thanks! JP

Yes! Have fun, be safe! I will be dreaming of those chicken wings tonight...

Unemployment statistics for the USA should be taken with a grain of salt until the additional $600/week in unemployment benefits runs out. While the additional funds are certainly needed by many individuals and families, it does serve as a short term disincentive to seeking work.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

Also, another reason to question the validity of current unemployment figures, with reference to the actual availability of work - how can parents be expected to meaningfully seek work when there are limited (zero?) child care options available?

@DJDamianNYC @nicvan7 Happy 20th wedding anniversary to the couple I would rather get drinks (drunk?) with in a NYC bar than with any other. Cheers! It may not be soon and it may not be at the C-Note or Trash Bar or Nancy Whiskey Pub, but there will be drinks again!

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

I used to think that maybe I spent too much time in bars (and pinball parlors and dingy punk clubs) in the last 25 years. Since March 15, 2020, I've been wondering if I didn't spend enough. It's good to see I'm not alone. https://t.co/ZBj1043ENF

I'm having a hard time understanding how ESPN could broadcast TWO games of the SK Wyverns vs. LG Twins series this week and completely ignore the Lotte Giants vs. Doosan Bears.
Am I missing something?! C'mon man! #LotteGiants

What is the single largest expense for the majority of small businesses? Is it wages? Is it their rent/mortgage? If 50% of small businesses are not going to make it through to the other side of this pandemic, the expenses that are going to put them under need to be known.

@centralkitcle Just keeps upping their game with the Local Love Bundle. I had to go for the combo package! Also, the guys and gals who handle the distribution in the parking lot at pick up have pretty great designed masks. Just saying.

Last few hours of @CIFF! Very glad to have had an opportunity to watch so many great films, even if I couldn't gather with fellow attendees in a theater to enjoy them. Looking forward to being back at the movie palaces as soon as possible, though!

Or...do the Republicans introduce a bill midsummer and "save" the @USPS , after allowing it to become a major electoral issue? Would be an interesting move.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

I wonder what the breakdown of political affiliation is for workers for the @USPS . If the Republicans block efforts to keep the United States Postal Service afloat, there must be some electoral backlash, no? 600,000 workers is a lot of votes.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

And when these steps are taken to "reopen the economy", how will it be communicated to workers and consumers that it is now safe to do things that were unsafe just the previous week? Just asking.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

Amid all of the debate amongst federal and state politicians about "reopening the economy", is it being considered that workers and consumers will be the ones who really make that decision?

Spring in Cleveland. Ironically, the weather makes me miss April baseball games that are sprinkled with snow flurries as much as anything.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

Early morning wandering internet search finds @NOFXband new, acoustic version of "Just the flu", originally released on an album from 30 years ago. I really wish those guys would stop being right about things.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

Happy Dyngus Day, Cleveland! Just put in my order for kielbasa, pieroges, and stuffed cabbage from @XYZtheTavern. Now if only I could find some Tyskie...and my @chardonpolka album...
Na zdrowie, everyone!

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

Dear Easter Bunny, please fill my basket with cold pizza and Cleveland microbrews. I'm not really a candy for breakfast guy.

[JP McCarthy @livebyargyle]

Thanks, @centralkitcle for providing a safe option to secure fresh, local produce. Order is in!
