Anyone who doesn’t think our government isn’t bankrupt doesn’t understand what is happening. In a free market, no entity could have as much debt as the US gov’t. Forget GDP and assets. All that matters is the cash in and out to support the debt. The fed govt has $5T of receipts and $7+T of expenses. And it has committed to $150 TRILLION of off balance sheet liabilities (unfunded obligations not on the US balance sheet). How could you possibly miss the unfunded obligations which is debt? It’s not just about the $40T. Without the Fed, the government could have never borrowed so much money. It couldn’t have financed all the moronic wars. I’m sorry, but you are just wrong. And trying to prove your point with simple two line graphs that “correlate” is junior league analysis. The economy is a complex system and you are over simplifying. Just received notice that Apple TV price going up from $12.99 to $14.99. That’s 15.4%. I guess inflation isn’t 3-4% after all. Overall, prices are increasing at least 7-8% per year. Don’t believe the government’s data and be ready because the Fed’s balance sheet is actually increasing and they can’t raise rates above the true inflation rate, especially if the government isn’t going to cut trillions from their budget. It would crash the equity and debt markets. The Fed is stuck. The country is in a serious debt trap.

The Debt Trap: Why the U.S. Only Has One Real Way Out

Part 1: Introduction

Start with the number that makes the whole problem real. In fiscal year 2025, the U.S. government spent $7.0 trillion and collected $5.2 trillion in revenue — a $1.8 trillion gap, equal to nearly 6% of the entire economy. The interest bill on the existing debt alone crossed $1 trillion for the first time in history, more than the entire defense budget. This is the cover of Life magazine, June 12, 1970.

At the time, Life was one of the most important publications in the world.

The photograph was taken decades before the Intifadas, before Netanyahu, and before Gaza as we know it today.

What was the excuse then for putting rifles in the hands of pre-pubescent children and training them to kill Jews?
What kind of movement does that to its own kids?

Some people would call it child abuse. It was more than that. It was a plan: a deliberate, generational project to pour Jew-hatred into children while they were still young enough to absorb it as truth. To make it visceral. To make it feel like belonging.

You can find similar photos and videos today of children even younger than these “Tiger Cubs,” still being trained the same way.

Some of them are almost certainly the children and grandchildren of the boys on that cover.

This is what intergenerational hate looks like.

This is how a society produces generation after generation with Jew-hatred running through their veins.

It was taught early. It was indoctrinated as soon as Israel was reestablished as the indigenous Jewish homeland.

When Jews have been dehumanized from childhood, young men can rape, behead, torture, and murder civilians and still believe they are doing something righteous.

We all want peace. We all want a life that is livable for Israelis and Palestinians. None of this is good. It is painful.

But if the people who never stop condemning Israel will not look at what we are actually facing — how old this is, how deep it was planted, how deliberately it was passed from parent to child — it is hard to see how this ends well.

Exactly, they lobbied for job protection. See my post with 1910 NYT article of doctor whining. It’s incredible. The state is the bad actor. If we didn’t have a large government, there would be less to bribe. Many complain that the problem is “capitalism” but in fact the private sector takes advantage of the public sector and bribes it for advantages. Shrink the state and the private sector has to compete with other private companies. Note that every sector where government is involved is a disaster - banking, education, healthcare, etc. Government subsidizes to get votes and power.
