The clocks were turned back to GMT at the end of summer 1945 - the error was probably to do with that and confusion with midwives who were delivering babies out in the community.

Today would have been George Harrison’s 81st Birthday!

February 25th is the official birthday of George Harrison, but George told Billboard magazine in Dec 92’ that his birthday is actually Feb 24.

George was born shortly before midnight, but his birth certificate states he was born after midnight, on the February 25.

During the Second World War, in 1941 Britain adopted British Double Summer Time, which saw clocks being put forward two hours ahead of GMT.
