Embedded evaluators might sound unusual in tech but it's pretty normal in other industries. Big banks have federal examiners with desks in the building and every nuclear plant in the US has inspectors who work on site full time. I think frontier AI labs should work the same way and this is a very practical first step.

Fable 5.1 is out!
In this demo, Claude built an interactive model of the human brain from scratch. It sculpts every fold of the cortex in code, then follows one sentence, "Could you pass the salt?", as it moves through. Timings come from published EEG + MEG recordings.

These days being gay in tech is widely accepted. Hell, it's even a meme! But 2014 was a different world. There were no out CEOs, constant cruel gossip in the press, and it was still legal to fire someone for being gay in most states. Representation matters!

Re: Tim Cook's legacy. I was in high school when his coming-out essay ran in 2014. I vividly remember reading it and being surprised + relieved that there was a place for me in tech. I think he deserves much more credit for this.
