For anyone who disagrees with teachers striking...

Let me tell you about growing up with a mum who was a primary school teacher. She left the house at 7.30am, got home around 6pm. She spent the evenings marking work, preparing lessons and cutting out displays. (1)

@tonyrandall37 @AndyBurnhamGM @AvantiWestCoast Why are we so different? I despair! Back in this country and Euston was chaos- gates closed and hundreds waiting for a train up to Lancaster. It all boils down to organisation and logistics.

@AndyBurnhamGM chaos at Euston.11.10 Glasgow full with queue unable to board. Managed to get on the Avanti to Blackpool but connections are cancelled all over. Staff amazing. Travelled across Belgium -10 days-cheap, reliable services. Clear we have no rail strategy or leadership

@MichaelRosenYes @BBCRadio4 Blowing a hooley! Only place I know that says this is on windy Walney Island off the coast of Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. As a teacher on playground duty on Walney, the wind definitely ‘blows a hooley’! ‘It’s Baltic’ is also a Cumbrian term

@272BookFaith Yep. I was a ‘trusted’ so walked to the shop along the street to buy the Year 5 teacher’s Daily Express and Kit Kat and deliver them to the (smoke-filled) staff room on a daily basis 😂.
