Thank you for all the calls and messages. We are so grateful for your concern and offers of help.
To update everyone asking: Upful is upright, damage here and there, detailed assessment to come.
Our immediate focus is on helping the people and community to recover and rebuild.
We have an official @AFJcares donation link for people overseas.
The community has a system they used after Ivan to assess needs, distribute, record etc. It’s being re-activated.

If you want to donate in Jamaica, message me.
The damage to power lines in the parish of St. Elizabeth, caused by Hurricane Beryl, is five times worse than the rest of the island.
That’s according to Chairman and interim CEO of the Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS, Damian Obiglio.

There is no clear timelines for restoration of essential services. All are being worked on but things take time. Need stop gap measures.
External help to just clear up the place is needed. I cannot describe the way the place looks with almost every tree and pole on the ground.
So in terms of immediate needs, there’s the essential services. 🔑
Anything that helps with water, light, solar gadgets, generators, gas for generators, Flow SIM cards.
This is helpful for everybody.
Across the board.
People who lost roofs need tarpaulin esp with rain.
This is not all the needs nor is it a needs list at an individual level. Those are great and are being determined.
Just giving you a picture.
We have basic needs that are urgent.
If you have a chainsaw and some time on your hands, they could use a hand.
I went to Treasure Beach yesterday.
No words. But will have to find to mobilize help that’s needed.
Some observations:
There is no water.
There is no electricity.
There is no Digicel service, Flow is sporadic.
People have lost roofs and more.
A mess - debris, power lines etc
Literally woke up this morning, smiled with the rising sun. Birds, more than three, are singing the sweetest melodies over a soundtrack of crashing waves.
