Prenatal care can reduce the risk of pregnancy complications for both the mother and child. After pregnancy women must establish or reestablish their well-woman care.
At each point along this continuum women in rural communities experience challenges and barriers.

The Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus Elimination (MNTE) initiative aims to reduce maternal and neonatal tetanus cases to very low levels so that the disease is no longer a major public health problem. Thanks to @unicefssudan for the support. #SSOT

MNTE CAMPAIGN KICKSTARTED IN PIBOR COUNTY.

LiveWell and partners launched the Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus Elimination campaign in Pibor County On 13th June 20222. The campaign targets 51,450 women of reproductive age (WRA) in Pibor, Verteth, Gumuruk, and Lekungole Payams.

Boma Health Workers are " The light at the end of the tunnel " in South Sudan's hard-to-reach. Ajullu Obono is a BHW in Pochalla County, she conducts medical outreach at Tierlul Boma to provide essential medical service.

Abang is a registered Midwife at Pochalla PHCC. She helps provide care to women throughout their pregnancy. ANC is one of the core interventions for improving maternal outcomes. With support from @unicefssudan we provide Maternal, Neonatal and Child health services in GPAA. #SSOT

LiveWell successfully conducted COVID-19 vaccine demand generation activities at Pariak, Kolyang, Anyidi and Yalle PHCC in Bor South County. Focus group discussions and advocacy aimed at mobilizing the community to get vaccinated against COVID-19 were carried out. #SSOT

The CEmONC Centre at Pochalla Hospital brings much-needed surgical services to Mothers. On 14th February 2022 we received a case of obstructed labor and successfully performed a C/S. Both Mother and Baby are doing good. Thanks to @unicefssudan for the continued support. #SSOT
