A thread for my conference finals predictions
At the end of the day I’m a nobody just a guy who enjoys watching and analyzing basketball. These are not easy predictions both matchups are incredibly close.
Heat in 7
Mavs in 6
"The Miami Heat have THE BEST 48 minutes of defensive point of attack basketball in the association."
@SaucyTakez gives the Heat point guards their much deserved flowers with the highest praise.

Miami Heat lineup data through 15 games
Bam/Jimmy/Herro
-10.7 Net in 419 poss
Let’s add a 4th man to these combos (50+ possessions)
Rozier
-8.8 Net in 291 poss
Jovic
-23.4 Net in 193 poss
Highsmith
-17.1 Net in 123 poss
Duncan
-5.0 Net in 90 poss
Pelle
+33.6 Net in 71 poss
After 5 days off Spo decided to play a rookie, Pelle Larsson, more minutes than everyone outside of Jimmy/Tyler/Bam.
The rookie responded with a team leading +18 in 37 minutes.
Let’s look at some lineup data
No Larsson or Highsmith
108.9 ORTG
115.2 DRTG
-6.4 NET
With at least one of Larsson/Highsmith
116.2 ORTG
114.8 DRTG
+1.4 NET
This matches the eye test, Miami has too many mouths to feed and the activity of these guys off ball helps the fit issues
🚨🚨🚨
Miami has 100% made the right decision by bringing on Josh Christopher on a 2 way.
Earned it.
Shotmaking, rim pressure, defensive playmaking, and a much improved focus made this a no brainer.
Welcome to the Miami Heat‼️‼️
Final Two Way Rankings after Summer League
Tier 1 (Too good for a 2 way)
Keshad Johnson
Tier 2 (Locks)
Isaiah Stevens
Josh Christopher
Tier 3 (Earned some mentions)
Caleb Daniels
Alondes Williams
Tier 4 (G League)
Cole Swider
Zyon Pullin
The most impressive thing about Keshad Johnson this summer league is the fact he’s making an impact without having any plays called for him.
Innate hooper who doesn’t take the ball from your stars and STILL contributes to winning.
Will be on a Standard NBA contract by the ASB
The guy who intrigued me the most of the SL team was Josh Christopher…
Today we saw why, microwave scorer, above the rim athlete, and NBA frame.
Consistency is key for him.
‼️‼️Give him the 2 way and don’t let him get poached‼️‼️
I can’t remember THIS many contributors on a Heat Summer League roster.
They genuinely have about 6 NBA players on the team. Maybe 7/8.
Jaime Jaquez Jr
Kel’el Ware
Pelle Larsson
Keshad Johnson
Isaiah Stevens
Josh Christopher
Cole Swider
Alondes Williams
Zyon Pullin
STACKED
In my opinion it makes 0 sense to keep Dru Smith on a 2 way from the standpoint of he’s 26, been a fringe NBA player, & coming off a major knee injury.
Give his 2 Way to someone else & when Keshad can be converted to fit under the apron, you sign whoever to that last spot.
Miami Heat 2 Way Contract Rankings
Not even a convo
1. Keshad Johnson
Lock
2. Isaiah Stevens
Fighting for it
3. Josh Christopher
4. Zyon Pullin
I believe this fight for the last spot will go deep into training camp.
As the Heat team is currently constructed, I see a legitimate pathway to Pelle Larsson starting alongside Tyler Herro.
So far, his POA defense, coupled with his size, shooting, feel, and complete offensive game will slot in nicely in the starting backcourt.
Last but not least, if you made it this far please share and like the posts.
More summer league, NBA Draft content will be coming up!
Follow to keep up.
Thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻
G JC Butler
Son of Caron Butler, JC has been in and out of Miami’s g league affiliate. We’ll see how he performs as a 24 year old. Odds are against a 5th year senior who never got much PT in college.
