If you work for GB News, are one of the presenters, one of the paid guests or work within the many layers of channel execs down to floor runners you are working at an organisation that is institutional misogynistic and very very dangerous. The channel last night put the life of their “target” in danger. All for the clicks. Since the murder of Joe Cox it has been abundantly clear that the hate generated for clicks is not understood as that by large sections of the public. They act on signal. Many targeting those they have been groomed to hate. GB News has a litany of gaffs, outright-falsehood and regularly platforms conspiracy theorists. But what happened last night was signed off by a lot of people. All of whom are culpable. I have very little faith in @Ofcom but I have hope the considerable public outcry may put stronger pressure on them than usual.
Back out on the doorstep this weekend in Hackney. Here we are in Stoke Newington talking to voters about how @HackneyLabour is helping reduce energy bills, create high-quality jobs and tackle toxic air pollution ✊🏼✊🏾
NEW: I’m delighted to announce @HackneyCouncil’s new Climate Action Plan.
From solar panels to EV charging points, we will invest £61 million in climate action by 2026 to deliver the UK’s most ambitious plan ✌🏾🌍
It’s gonna be disappointing not being able to bring our booze in to Glasto next year but it’s really hard carrying it all in.
Turning off the sound systems across the site at 11pm means people will be drinking less anyway.

Imagine if we had a Labour government Now imagine the front pages of the right wing rags. The ones that have told you for 12 years through 4 failed PMs that these people know what they’re doing and have your interests at heart up. Wake up.
This #MiniBudget embeds unfairness across the UK.
The UK Government should be offering meaningful support to those who need it the most. Instead, they’re giving tax cuts to the rich, bonuses to bankers and protecting the eye-watering profits of energy companies.
Cost of taking Big 5 energy companies into public ownership: £2.85 billion
Cost of bailing out just one failed energy company, Bulb: £2.7 billion
Privatisation is a scam. It’s time to take back control of our energy system.

Elon Musk told the United Nations he would give them $6 billion to end world hunger if they showed him a detailed plan of how they would use the money. They called his bluff and gave him their plan— and then they never got the money. Now he’s buying Twitter for $45 billion.
Ministers are in denial about the levels of misogyny in the police force, and how it is tolerated by senior management.
80% of UK police accused of domestic abuse kept jobs, figures show https://t.co/7BKpaBnLB2
One for your next secret garden party...
Boris x Usher - There 🍷🥴
Bit late because I wanted to give a non...nod to the Prince Andrew news :)

The Tories are spending £37,000,000,000 on a privatised Test and Trace system that can't even deliver tests.
To put that figure into perspective, to eradicate rough sleeping in a year would cost just 0.2% of that.
Does anyone still think the Tories spend public money wisely?
