The money spent on this is actively increasing (manipulating if you ask me) your GDP, brainwashing people like you to think the economy is doing well and that you are the big player keeping everyone in their place. Truth is (my perspective) propaganda works so much better in the US than in china/russia and as soon as the economy shows signs of weakness, you create a new conflict, divide people so they argue and miss the bigger picture, supply ammo - rinse and repeat
