You've lost the plot dude. A man following a woman as she is backing away from him repeatedly while she has a gun pointed at him is absolutely a threat. His posture at the start of the encounter was absolutely aggressive. He softened once he saw the gun. The idea that a person who isnt currently posturing as a threat isnt one is crazy. People do that all the time in fights so they can take a person by surprise.
@pgoodpaster@NatetheLawyer@BGnight She didnt initiate the conflict. He did. When she exited the vehicle, the dude wasnt even there. She was talking to the people in the car next to her when HE approached and had an aggressive posture.
Nah dude. I suspect you're the racist here. If this was a white woman being harassed by a black dude that was following her around as she backed away while she had a gun on him. Then he left and came back for more, you'd be perfectly fine with her dropping him if she sakd ahe was afraid he was going to seriously hurt her if he got too close.
@FullenLoui50373@TheOfficerTatum The shooter in that case shot a man that was backing away after he saw the gun. A normal response in that situation. The man in this case, continuously advances.
@canncon@lbc360 You do NOT have to wait until you are being beaten to exercise self defense. You only have to perceive that its imminent. An unhinged man repeatedly advancing on a woman even after shes drawn a gun fulfills that.
@AnthonyCumia She pulled a gun on him because he was presenting as a threat. He doesnt have to be armed with a weapon for her to perceive an imminent threat of death or great bodily harm. She also doesn't have to wait to pull her gun until hes beating her.
@LVpolitic She was absolutely under threat. This is a grown man and a woman. He could do serious bodily harm with his bare hands. She had the gun drawn because she feared he wouod return, possibly with a gun himself. She doesnt have to wait until she being beaten to respond with force.
@RealJohnDennis He wasn't the victim. She justifiably shot an unhinged man who shouldn't have started the confrontation in the first place...who refused to walk away and instead advanced on her repeatedly. She only shot after he left and then came back to advance on her further.
@eyewitness0_0@denkai@rittenhouse2a Very embarrassing. These guys dont seem to see how you can think, Rittenhouse was justified, Karmelo was guilty, and this woman is also justified. Dude was unhinged...he appeared a threat to her, and she defended herself. Tragic, but clear self defense.
@MiddleIsntBad@denkai@rittenhouse2a Rittenhouse was justified. Same as this woman. The man was advancing on her when he was shot, as he had been doing throughout the encounter. Except this time he came back after having already left. Reasonable woman can interpret that as him deciding to engage.
@RedWhiteBite Michael Drejka was sent to prison because at the time of the shooting, the man he killed was backing away. That is not the case here. He was advancing on her after a serious of actions that a reasonable person would interpret as threatening. To a woman, a man is a weapon.
@MenLoveTheWorld@EarthPigs23A She doesnt know if that dude is coming back with a gun...cars aren't even slightly bullet proof. Defending yourself while you cant maneuver at all while your opponent has free range of motion is worst case scenario. She didnt seek conflict. He did. Dude fucked up.
@LVpolitic@Jennifer2Flower Her perception of imminent threat is what matters. Dude drove away and then came back at her from across the parking lot. She didnt know if he had a gun or a knife. Getting out while talking to the car next to her is easily justifiable if she perceived she was still in danger
@LVpolitic Nah. Not only did he start the encounter from the very start, since shes the one that had the spot to begin with, but he walked from across the parking lot to intimidate and yell at her, he then followed her completely around a vehicle and then returned to advance after leaving.
@RJHrocker@__0HOUR1_ 1. Aggressively initiate the encounter while being in a threatening posture.
2. Repeatedly advanced on her as she retreated behind the other vehicle.
3. Returned to continue advancing on her after leaving.
Why we are pretending a bare handed man isnt a threat to a woman?
@bbqsauce480@__0HOUR1_ He could have done that but he didnt. Instead he aggressively initiated an encounter with her while in a threatening posture...proceeded to follow her as she repeatedly RETREATED around the car. Then got shot when he left and RETURNED to continue. He fucked up.
@HendovRuaGOAT@Psorianheir@__0HOUR1_ Her weapon was pulled because she had a resonable fear of imminent bodily injury from an unhinged stranger while she was alone in a parking lot. That is not an illegal brandishing. It is a legitimate use of deadly force.
@Psorianheir@__0HOUR1_ Walking toward her as she continuously backs away until the very end. That is threatening all on its own...especially given he knows she has a gun. She is under no obligation to wait until shes being beaten to death by an unhinged man before she defends herself.
