I keep seeing posts about Jasmine Guy “aging badly,” how her skin has cracked, how she’s mixed, and how the white side is coming out—as if it’s only white women who age poorly.
Let me start by saying that she made Whitley Gilbert an iconic character in the 90's. She has had an amazing career beyond ADW. That lady is in her 60s, and I’ve seen some of your mothers. Believe me, there is no room for criticism.
Women age. Yes, Angela Bassett looks amazing for her age, and that’s great for her. But to dog another Black woman simply for aging is insane.
Growing old is a gift, and we should be thankful for it.
