@KenGoodwinITV@Jan_Leeming Yes, overseas calls had to be booked in advance - as a telephonist in the early ‘70s we had to call the International operator and ask what the “registered delay” was to whichever country, the call was then booked and they called you back at that time
Assumed I was buying a bag of sorrel leaves but no, it turns out to be a “salad mix of Romaine lettuce and sorrel leaves” Complete misrepresentation of product @marksandspencer !
@Jan_Leeming If you have more than one condition that requires surgery you can’t be on more than one waiting list at a time. Friend on list for hip surgery was arbitrarily removed without telling her after being referred for another more minor procedure.
Huge thanks to whoever it was on the delayed evening train from St Pancras last night who found my bag and handed it to the guard. And a big shoutout to the lovely @Se_Railway man at Stroud who arranged for it to be carried to another station where it was waiting for me today!
@CraigEtherton@British_Airways We paid nearly £500 to reserve 2 seats in Business return Singapore - had to cancel, they refunded the flights less a fee but not the £500 for the seat reservations!
@exitthelemming Very late to the party with this ACGAS - read the books and watched the original tv adaptation in the 70s but am now binge-watching this latest version and have to say you are a superb Siegfried! Thank you to you all for such a wonderful programme ❤️
@Kerry3175235661@RupertLowe10 Unfortunately that’s no guarantee - I asked my village butchers and when he actually checked he confirmed it was halal-slaughtered.
@ArtyBagger We got one where the sender had used an old stamp without the barcode and we were charged £2.50 - we obviously we got a discount because the sender had tried!
