Today I had to make a really hard decision and say goodbye to my guinea pig Figment. He was diagnosed with lymphoma last week and has been on the decline since. Today I made the decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge to end his suffering 🌈

It’s been very hard on me since I’ve never had to make this sort of choice before. He is also the last guinea pig from my original herd of piggies, it symbolically marks the end of my twenties as well. So it’s been a lot of emotions.

Slight update, the meds have helped Figment a lot in being comfortable. Waiting to see how he does over the weekend. He will be getting unlimited hay and his favorite treats 🧡

Found out today one of my older pigs Figment has cancer, he's not doing great. I'm very heart broken, we are doing palliative care for now since he's an older pig.
