@megannnkoontz @HollyStallcup Really thankful for my patient, kind, brilliant engineer husband who is more like Jesus than many pastors tbh. I thought I needed to be a pastor's wife to have opportunities for ministry- no way. So glad I didn't miss out on him.

@megannnkoontz @HollyStallcup The problem is I wrote people off as “not spiritual enough” too easily when I thought “running to Jesus” looked like theology and ministry…instead of the actual fruit of the Spirit.

@megannnkoontz @HollyStallcup Or that they need to be married to a certain kind of person- I used to think to be a woman in ministry I had to marry a man in ministry. SO WRONG. Could not be more thankful 15yrs later for the life partner/friend God gave me.

Here in a nutshell is a perfect account of the dual malevolence of Sin. Not only our personal guilt, but also a cosmic Power which only Christ can conquer
