Birthdays have a way of making you pause, not just to celebrate, but to reflect.🥹
Some know me as a software developer.
Others know me as a musician.
Most people only know one side of me.
Very few see what it takes to keep both dreams alive.
There are days I’m debugging code for hours, then switching my mind completely to songwriting, rehearsals, recordings, or planning music content. Other days, it’s the opposite.
It’s almost like living two professional lives at once.
Two brands to build.
Two audiences to serve.
Two sets of skills to keep improving.
Two industries that never stop moving.
Sometimes it feels like I’m doing everything twice.
It can be exhausting.
because every dream deserves time, attention, consistency, and energy. And there are only so many hours in a day.
There have been moments I’ve wondered if I should choose one and let the other go.
But every time I ask myself that question, I remember why I started both. Haha.
So today, as I celebrate another birthday, I’m also celebrating the discipline it has taken to keep showing up for both versions of myself even on the days nobody notices the work happening behind the scenes.
And I’m grateful that I don’t have to choose between the things that make me feel most alive. ❤️
It’s my birthday again, say me some prayers.
Birthday appreciation 🥹🎉
Yesterday was beautiful.
I woke up to so many messages, calls, posts, comments, prayers, and kind words that reminded me how blessed I am to have such amazing people in my life.
To everyone who took a moment to celebrate me whether you sent a message, made a post, left a comment, called, prayed for me, or simply thought of me, thank you.
Every message, every prayer, and every word of encouragement meant more to me than I can fully express.
I pray that the kindness you’ve shown me returns to you in ways even greater than you can imagine.
Thank you.

A day in my life as a tech sis speaking in public.👇
I spoke at an X Space last weekend and it ended up being more reflective than I expected.
I didn’t even plan for it to carry that much weight. I just showed up to share my journey.
But as the conversation unfolded, I found myself answering questions that made me pause and think deeper
And somewhere in between my answers, I started realizing something:
A lot of what I call “challenges” were actually mindset shifts I had to grow through.
📍I was asked about how I started in tech without a tech background.
I entered a completely new environment where the way of thinking was different, and I didn’t realize that was the real challenge at first.
I kept thinking my issue was “not knowing enough code.”
But it was actually the shift in thinking that I had to grow into.
📍I was also asked how I managed tech, school, and music at the same time.
And honestly, it’s not something I “perfectly balanced.”
It was more of structure than balance.
Some days I’m coding in the morning, recording music at night, or switching between both depending on what needs attention.
It’s not always smooth but it’s consistent enough to keep me moving.
📍Another question was around consistency.
And I realized consistency for me was less about motivation, and more about staying in motion even when things didn’t feel clear.
There were phases where I didn’t feel like I was progressing fast enough, but I kept showing up anyway because my “why” was strong enough.
One thing I also spoke about was visibility.
For a long time, I focused heavily on building randomly. No gig, no job was coming plus frustration.
I didn’t realize I was underplaying the importance of being seen while building intentionally.
I invested in courses, not because I didn’t know anything, but because I realized I was doing certain things in isolation that had to change.
Especially content.
I was posting… but not intentionally.
I thought if the work was good, it would naturally speak.
Over time, I had to learn that visibility is also part of growth especially in tech and creative spaces.
What stood out to me most after the session wasn’t what I said…
👉It was realizing how many of my past “struggles” were actually misunderstandings of what the real problem was.
Not code or talent.
But thinking, visibility, and structure.
You don’t always notice your growth while you’re in it.
Sometimes, you only see it when you’re explaining your journey to someone else.
What’s your own experience with visibility vs skill story?
I’m currently learning French, and I used @SympLySimi 🎶Where you Dey record as a creative experiment to see how it sits inside my sound.
Combined French, Yoruba and pidgin.
This is not the final version of who I am, just a step in the process.
So tell me what do you think?🫢
