Student Spotlight: Meet Abi who is graduating this month. Abi already has a job working part-time w/Waste Management (WM), maintaining & repairing sanitation trucks. After graduation, sheโll head to Arizona for a two-week apprenticeship training w/WM before starting full-time.
My Republican neighbor in Orlando (a recent retiree) voted for Nikki Haley in the GOP primary, and until now he was leaning toward voting for Trump. We had a long chat tonight, and this is what he told me:
โNow that Trumpโs been convicted, no way can I vote for him. I just assumed thereโd be a hung jury, but his conviction really knocked me for a loop. The idea of a convicted felon in the White House is absolutely insane.
โRight now, Iโm a man without a party. You have no idea how hard it is for me to say that, since Iโve been a registered Republican since I graduated college. But I just donโt recognize my party any more.โ
I hate when I fall prey to confidence in my morning self (passing gas station with low gas light on). โIโll just get up early and fill up on the way to work.โ #overconfident
@OCAmericans@thehill@NikkiHaley You are saying Nikki is using campaign $ to pay legal fees to defend herself against felonies she committed? Please correct yourself because she didnโt commit felonies.
An alcoholic friend of Philip Yancey once said to him:
โWhen I'm late to church, people turn around and stare at me with frowns of disapproval.
I get the clear message that I'm not as responsible as they are.
When I'm late to AA, the meeting comes to a halt and everyone jumps up to hug and welcome me.
They realize that my lateness may be a sign that I almost didn't make it.
When I show up, it proves that my desperate need for them won out over my desperate need for alcohol."
