Not sure what to think of this hearing yet. At first, I was totally with Ben Sasse... but... this IS political because the president has politicized it. So for Republicans to portray taking the civic high road?... doesn't work. The base will eat it up but it is total BS. 🤔

"Systemic racism" doesn't contend all people are racist. It contends that systems (i.e., housing) were designed upon racist practices (i.e., redlining, restrictive covenants, steering). These systems then create quantifiable racial disparities (i.e., wealth, school districts).

I can't find a fact check from Fox - they published a critique of ABC's fact check but not their own it looks like. If anyone finds a clearly conservative fact check would love to see it.

Holding off on forming debate opinions until you get the fact check is really important. I am not good at this yet - I love watching Senator Harris and its easy to get amped about her performance without acknowledging her misleading statements. Looking for links on this thread!
