@finite_alright I think most microbiome-related products are kinda scammy tbh. Just eat your veggies (fiber) and fermented stuff — those have live cultures that’ll actually make it to your gut
@finite_alright As a microbiologist (tm)… they won’t hurt… but probably won’t help much, either. They have ingredients that theoretically promote growth of the beneficial microbes in your microbiome, but those ingredients are just, like, fiber. (I drink them though bc I like the taste haha)
@paulnadal_ Recently read the colony by annika norlin, which is another novel which highlights career burnout! Though it’s maybe more of an inciting incident rather than the main theme
(cool course!)
@yoonchaand Find a recent paper (or review!!) related to your topic of interest, then find a part in the conclusion/discussion where they’re like “we still don’t know [x]/ are uncertain if [x], but…” and there’s your gap. I don’t know if that works for literature research, though….
@Hannah_Paquin@jailedamanda I go to tumblr for reasonable takes which is pretty horrifying. But tbf it’s also like 90% people who’ve been there for a decade and have more or less seen it all wrt weird fan behavior lol
One of my favorite things about the finale, which is sure to piss off the brilliant minds of pitt twt, is how not a single conflict got a clear resolution.
"Today, our neighborhood was on lockdown. SWAT teams were everywhere, snipers lying in the snow, and the whole place was completely silent. Then, out of nowhere, our cat Hector casually walks in.
Curious about absolutely everything, Hector hops right onto a sniper's back, trying to figure out what is going on.
honestly can't tell if he's incredibly brave... or if he simply doesn't care about our
human nonsense at all."
My impression of Da Pitt (which i started last week) is that it is very watchable and the characters are great, but the dialogue is written with all the subtlety of a thousand hammers
@1918friends Started da Pitt very recently and I do like it a lot but sometimes I’m watching and feeling like hmmmm… I could be watching mash instead….
