we already deal with so much trauma around not being believed, having our CONSTANT pain dismissed, pushing ourselves past our limits bc we don’t want to let people down. having a work coach who triggers all of that every single UC call isn’t going to help me get back to work

rage-closed my universal credit claim yesterday bc i’m so tired of having to share intimate details of my IBD with an insulting and uninformed work coach to justify why i haven’t been able to work. this fucking sucks

i’m in a position where i can afford to do that bc i have an incredible support system. how many people who are chronically ill, disabled, or otherwise unfit for work, have to put up with disrespect, accusations, judgements bc they have no other options ??
