Robert Jenrick says the DWP states there is £10 Billion of fraud in the welfare system. No they don't. That figure combines fraud AND official error. Also worth noting that an estimated £24 Billion of welfare payments is unclaimed by eligible people each year. #LBC
I think that 35 hours work a week should not only pay the rent and put food on the table, but leave you enough over for the odd night out and an annual holiday. And if that belief makes me an economically illiterate leftwing extremist, so be it.
Yo reform voters, your entire life is a lie. Migration has plummetted and we're all worse off than ever. Why? because 'small boats' has never been the problem. The rich always have.
@RuthieeL just watched your interview with Fearn Cotton on YouTube, you were so real. I lost my husband and I didn’t know what would become of me. But like you I’m just getting on with being ‘on my own’, habing lived alone and find I quite like it. Well bloody done us!
I'll tell you who does 'rely on benefits'. It's the supermarket chains that pay their bosses millions of pounds a year while driving shopworker wages down to levels that force staff to claim Universal Credit.
@MrHarryCole FFS. What is going on with British journalism?
Trump is a fucking imbecile.
Britain does not have a Presidential system but a cabinet system.
The Prime Minister is Primus Inter Pares = First Among Equals.
Surely you know this? If not then you are not qualified to do your job.
The state pension age should revert to 65.
There's a reason most people over 65 can't work full time.
Cancer, heart conditions, arthritis, and many more medical conditions. Added to which, many people in their late 60s and early 70s are carers to their own elderly parents or look after grandchildren so their parents can work.
Unless, of course, you're a Lord or Lady and still pretend you're going to work, while really you just doze off in the House of Lords while sponging a daily rate of a few hundred quid off the hardworking ordinary taxpayers. 🙄🤬
After a woman was raped in her hotel room… Travelodge now says staff must get explicit consent before giving someone a key to a guest’s room.
I genuinely cannot get over the fact that this apparently needed to be written down as a NEW RULE in 2026. What the actual fuck.
The right wing papers are saying the pension age needs to be raised to 75.
I counter, the number of billionaires needs to be reduced to 0.
That will affect 0.00006% of people, and they will still be far too rich.
But it will pay for pensions, healthcare, housing and much more.
