Year 13 enjoyed a brilliant English Language trip to Cambridge — exploring St John’s College library and its manuscripts, early dictionaries & texts showing how English has changed over centuries. Another highlight: a fun-filled punt on the river!
Day 1 of Iceland DHSG Geography Trip!
We started our trip by standing on the bridge between two continents, relaxed in Grindavik Hot Springs, and heard the tale of ‘Gunna’ the ghost 👻. To top it off, we glimpsed the aurora borealis!

DHSG will observe a minute's silence this morning for Holocaust Memorial Day, with assemblies later this week to reflect on the Holocaust, antisemitism, and standing against prejudice.

Mr. Sargeant led our end-of-year assembly today, and it was special to hear our school song performed by the school choir, accompanied by the school orchestra. The entire hall joined in, creating a heartfelt and memorable moment to end the year on a high note.

Huge congrats to Kat 11E, who’s just returned from her 4th International Cricket tournament since Sept Competing for Spain in the European Cricket Championship-W 2024, she claimed an impressive 9 wickets, making her the top wicket-taker of the tournament!

GCSE Music & Year 7 students enjoyed a festive workshop with the Band of His Majesty's Royal Marines, featuring demos, carol sing-alongs & a Q&A. Three DHSG students joined in on oboe, cornet & trombone. Huge thanks to the band & Mrs Mackey for organising this special event!

National Schools Equestrian Association Arena Eventing competition at Bicton today, Holly from 9E had a fantastic round, finishing 4th and securing an individual qualification for the National Championships at Hickstead in May!
