@paulloewen Totally. I didn't know the BC thing but I've definitely noticed everything you've said to be true here at Portage / Valour as well. It is clearly set this way on purpose, so presumably could be set another, more logical way.
@paulloewen The most important thing to do when you "spend time with Jesus" is to plug your ears and ignore everything he says. Also ignore the rest of the bible. And especially ignore Leviticus chapter 19.
@cityofwinnipeg Is there something going on with garbage pickup in Riverview? Normal time is Wednesday morning, figured it might be Thursday with the long weekend, but we're now over 48 hours past with no pickup...
Dude is paying to promote this tweet, so let's fact check it.
- Maui gas is 1.65/L CAD. In Canmore, where he's from, it's 1.35.
- State sales tax in Hawaii? 4%, to AB's 0%.
- Eggs in Maui? Over $10 USD/dozen at Costco.
Paying to spread lies on your holiday? Priceless.
In Maui right now. (You can stick your “Elbow Up” your a$$).
A few first hand observations:
1. There is no trouble with U.S. Customs. . . whatsoever. Americans are very welcoming people.
2. Gasoline is less expensive (even with CAD/USD exchange).
3. Food is less expensive (even with CAD/USD exchange.
4. Freedom of speech is not an issue here.
5. Municipal tax is inexpensive.
Given that this is a “very expensive” island, you have been sold a bad, bad, bill of goods Canada.
Cost of living is outrageous in Canada.
Forget the 51st State, wonder if Alberta can join the 50th U.S. State?
On the phone, your representative just kept repeating that it's because you "bill in advance," but I promise you, these services were "cancelled in advance" of your bill by a full week.
Hey @Bell_MTSHelps - when you send me an e-bill Friday for services I've already cancelled and do not have, backdate that bill by 5 days, and then put conflicting due dates on it - is that, like, on purpose?
The CPC has always done this. They are measuring only how enthusiastic their base is, nothing more. The content of the responses doesn't matter, only the total number. The phrasing is intentionally hyper-partisan to ensure nobody but die-hard party loyalists will even respond.
Lutnick: We wouldn't want China to route goods through this island in order to skirt tariffs!
China: *crosses fingers that nobody notices its huge shared border with Russia, the only country with no tariffs*
@wearetouching Do you have conclusive proof of that??
I've long believed this to be true and seen/heard things that would suggest this. Any time I've tried to dig into it though, the official sources claim we do recycle plastic (CoW especially) but can't point to any proof or details.
Any suggestions out there for a no-fee or low-fee credit card with decent cash back or other perks?
@neofinancial dropped the base cashback on my card to 0% without warning, so I now have 0% interest in staying with them.
