Idk why I am hesitant to post it, but it's time to tell a breakout story for @MMTFinance title deed eligibility.
QRT if you can guys!
@0xluden@CryoPalmar
This is a good one, but note that, expressing the story in words is still tricky, so just try to fill in the gaps with your imagination if possible...
so about 1 year ago, I started on Sui network as an enthusiast, interacting with all the Dapps I could, and found a liking to the DeFi as it was simple and efficient to use.
at the time, I had barely any funds on the network, (I had left home and moved a few thousand miles away without any plan).
with pennies to start and increasing it to $1000 (I attached my first ever transaction below), I began using the network.
after that, I made hundreds of transactions, while learning about Web3 at the same time...
it's difficult to express in just a few sentences how much I learned about Web3 projects and the market in general, but to give you an idea:
I thought already knew about the 'crypto' and Web3 market, but realistically, I didn't as I hadn't interacted with DeFi and blockchain tech enough, or read enough, also I needed to get hands on experience with market volatility to understand it further.
to give you an idea I think my knowledge went from a overconfident 3 or 4 to a solid 7 in terms of reading the market, understanding how to evaluate projects and all the foundations you need to operate in the space (in your own niche), mine at the time started as a user/tester.
so to fast forward, the first drop where Sui did something amazing was the $WAL drop whereby I was within the top wallets in the whole eco system (I don't know how they did the criteria, but it seems like they rewarded people who were truly active on-chain) - which is the best way to do it from my perspective...although I know it's difficult to tell who is.
a lot of people were upset, but from my humble perspective, it's simple, they weren't included because they were not active enough on chain.
at the time, I did not have a large amount of funds at all, it was just that I remained active, making a lot of tx...and thankfully I did. @Mysten_Labs and @WalrusProtocol changed lives on that day.
well... I was still making a lot of mistakes and learning, but with the newfound $WAL, I started learning more about interacting with size.
enter Momentum... I saw that they were doing something interesting, had decent backing and were most of all, new.
Building more experience with capital, I began interacting with Momentum almost every day...through all the volatility of the market.
At the same time, my year in Indonesia was coming to an end...I went to some @CoinfestAsia side events on the recommendation of a friend and made some life-long connections...
I then saw that @token2049 was coming up and I decided to stay in Kuala Lumpur....In fact, I went to Singapore, by car with friends, for the experience :).
The main idea was that I attended Suifest and get more personal with the network that changed my life, but Token turned out to be more crazy than I thought...
think 20k steps a day from 9/10am- 11pm and beyond...
in that time, I also managed to visit the Momentum finance booth which was awesome to meet some people who were hands on with the project.
I want to cut this short, because I still don't know how to express this amazing journey in a step by step thread...but I am hoping you get the general idea.
The thing is, I would like to end with this was the most difficult journey I've ever done to accomplish something - being in the ups and downs in the market,
So here it is:
>>From almost 0 funds on-chain, starting at 0 x followers and 0 connections, to networking at Coinfest, @token2049 and Suifes
There are many ways to get involved in Web3, and it will be different for everyone, but if you asked me if I would have been doing this 2, 3, 4 years ago I would have called you crazy for sure....
Building some credibility and reputation is hands on the most difficult thing I've ever done.
The journey isn't over yet....There are more places to sail, and projects I want to get involved with... people I want to continue connecting with.
The main thing I want to show is I am very serious in wanting to collaborate with others and to maintain an positive reputation....
Most of all, don't hesitate to reach out 😁.
How did I do for the nomination??!?
