"Respected Chief of Army Staff,
You are a gentleman and a person of integrity. In this time of national crisis, you have stood by the people despite being a relative of Sheikh Hasina. Under your leadership, the army has regained the lost trust and love of the people. It is also widely known that several disgruntle and power-hungry officers in the army have supported the fascist government of Awamileague over the last 16 years by holding key positions in RAB, DGFI, NSI, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Therefore, questions have been raised in the minds of many officers of my rank regarding the army's overall position:
1. Why did the army not stand by the common people when deployed on July 20, 2024? If we acted earlier, so many lives would not have been lost. On August 5, did you declare solidarity with the people under pressure from junior officers and soldiers?
2. Was it unknown to our ASU/DGFI/MI that Major General Ziaul Ahsan is a murderer before August 5? If they were unaware, how did they gather tons of info about him within a day? And if they knew, how did this murderer rise to the rank of a two-star general?
3. There are many more such officers in the army who were directly involved with murder-enforced disappearance. We know them, yet your stance on them remains unclear. If it were clear, officers like Lt Gen Mujib and Lt Gen Tabrez Shams would have stayed with Ziaul Ahsan now in police custody.
4. You have now asked officers to remain united, which is very good. But Sir, in the past 15 years, when many bright officers were labeled as 'BNP-Jamaat-anti-liberation forces' skilled officers were deprived of promotion, wasn't the need for unity greater then?
5. There are at least 70 extremely corrupt and murderous officers like Ziaul Ahsan in the army. Do you believe that dismissing once officer from service completes the army's reform? What will happen to the rest? What decisions will be made about those who have retired with full pensions and benefits?
6. Why is your position still unclear regarding those who have been deprived and oppressed in the army for so many years by senior officers like Akbar, Mujib, Ziaul Ahsan, Saiful Alam, and Tabrez Shams?
7. Brigadier Azmi has been detained in the 'Aynaghar' for over 8 years, he as a brilliant-decorated army officer. Were you not aware of his such ordeal? How will you return the lost years to Brigadier Azmi, and have you questioned those responsible for his detention (Tabrez Shams, Saiful Alam)?
8. It is time to inform the nation about who and which organizations were involved in the horrific massacre at Pilkhana on February 25, 2009. Have you considered when you will disclose this information?
Thank you Sir."
In Madhya Pradesh, Muslim leader Haji Shehzad Ali’s Home was demolished over "alleged" stone-pelting during protests against inflammatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Can such extreme actions be justified on mere allegations?

Dhaka University protested tonight against the aggression of India. India intentionally causes floods in some regions of Bangladesh by opening Dam Gate. They Didn't even bother to give Bangladesh any Prior notice.
The last thing #Bangladesh needs at this point is to deal with the effects of serious flooding. Responding to the floods will be a test for the interim government and require civil-military cooperation at the national and local level. As they have done in the past, the U.S. and others should help as needed. This is an opportunity to demonstrate to the Bangladeshi people that the world stands with them.
Water Terrorism by India is nothing new.
The flood affected areas have a lot of Hindus - but India didn't even bother to think about them.
Where are those protestors who demonstrated at Shahbagh for the minority rights?
Where are Azmeri Haque Badhon and Rokeya Prachi hiding? Will Badhon and Prachi speak boldly against Indian aggression in Bangladesh? Will they and their celebrated friends be bold enough to speak in front of the Indian Media?
If you still don't recognize the enemies surrounding you, I'm sorry to say, you're mentally handicapped!
India has built dams on 30 of the 54 rivers shared with Bangladesh, making it the largest water withdrawal in history. No international voice has been raised to oppose this injustice. Why? Is it because India is a big market for you? Will you just accept whatever they do?

The latest tactic of pro-Awami League activists in the U.S. is to press the Biden Administration to criticize #Bangladesh’s interim government by comparing it to Hamas. This false narrative does not hold up to any serious scrutiny but gains traction with those seeking to influence the Administration’s Middle East Policy. It also feeds into an Islamophobic narrative and deliberately denies Bangladesh’s brave student protesters agency. The interim government will need a proactive strategic communications effort to counter this false narrative.
Popular movements that topple governments result in transformations not just at the societal level, but at the level of individual lives. And that includes my own. In 2017, having lived in Bangladesh for 13 years, and whilst working as a journalist, I was forced to leave the country, and the country's Foreign Office issued an order to prevent me from returning. Our children, who had been brought up in Bangladesh, moved to the UK with me, and the family was split between the two countries. With the fall of Hasina, I am now able to travel to Bangladesh for the first time in seven years. And I am now back for a short trip. It is wonderful.

Shafiqul Alam, AFP's Bureau Chief, is set to be appointed as the Press Secretary to Dr. Yunus in the interim government. During the nationwide internet blackout, Shafiqul Alam played a commendable role in informing the international community about the atrocities within the country through his objective and professional journalism.
"I am Bijon Kumar Sarkar. My son, Dhrubo Sarkar, gave an interview on Somoy TV yesterday, which is not accurate. My home is secure, and perhaps he gave a false interview out of emotion or misunderstanding. For this, I sincerely apologize and ask for forgiveness."

"If the Awami League and Chhatra League are not banned after the amount of disappearances, killings, and torture they have carried out over the past 15 years, it would be a direct betrayal to the people of this country. The people brought them to power because of their contributions to the Liberation War. However, the Awami League cannot escape responsibility for the fascist regime that was born out of blindly supporting all of Sheikh Hasina's actions.
We all know about the fascist Mussolini during World War II. Mussolini's party, the 'National Fascist Party,' was banned in Italy as early as 1943. Not only was it banned, but any attempt to reorganize the 'National Fascist Party' or the 'Republican Fascist Party' is also explicitly prohibited by the Italian Constitution."
