Thank you to The Winning Moments podcast for discussing Pawling Baseball’s season and my contributions. Looking forward to summer ball with the @HVRenegades and working with my hitting coach and basketball skills coach. #baseball#basketball#dualsport#uncommitted2027
Nash is right that WWE stars should unionize.
My team led the campaign that unionized minor league baseball and we’ve helped other early-stage sports unions since.
Collective action always starts with one person.
Any wrestlers interested in organizing should reach out.
Wrestlers in these organizations have legitimate arguments for employee status, which if found, would allow them to unionize under the NLRB. Unfortunately, many fear retaliation for supporting unionization. A truly collective approach, however, can serve to diminish such fear.
Kevin Nash has urged WWE stars to unionise and join SAG-AFTRA following TKO pay cuts.
"You can’t have it both ways. You can’t play Endeavor at the top with the 300% increases and 1099 the dock workers… If they’re going to play by those rules, let the boys play by the same rules.
"Go through Screen Actors Guild. They’ll be more than happy to take their cut of your money. It won’t be 50%, but it’ll change the ball game. Take one of the programs that’s written down and you tell me that that program isn’t more heavily written and more produced than Curb Your Enthusiasm was when all those actors got SAG paid."

This interview, which we conducted with @lkmiddleb a few years back, answers questions regarding the necessary first steps wrestlers/fighters would need to take

This is CRAZY talk.
If we're talking about high schoolers who work at McDonald's while playing for their junior varsity team, sure!
But these are MMA fighters competing for the world's largest MMA promotion that just secured a $7.7 billion rights deal.

If “making it” means getting to the NBA, the league minimum salary for a rookie on a full-season contract is $1,272,870 (almost $4 million annually min for 10-year vets).
The UFC equivalent would be, at most, $24k per fight with two to three fights annually being common.
@heynottheface@FightOpinion@zombiemanjay Certainly would be a difficult argument with the current NLRB - no question. NLRB iteration must be a consideration on when to organize, significantly different than a blanket statement that fighters are independent contractors that cannot bargain collectively.
@heynottheface@FightOpinion@zombiemanjay Labels do not control this analysis. NLRB would use its multi-factor test to determine whether they are actually employees misclassified as independent contractors. It’s a legal analysis that would need to be fought but if NLRB found employee status, fighters can 100% unionize.
Before Spirit Airlines collapsed, I called on President Trump to make a deal to save it.
Now that he didn't, and more than 4,000 Florida jobs have disappeared overnight, I'm urging the following actions to ensure the employees harmed by Spirit's closure are taken care of: 🧵
.@SpiritAirlines cites high fuel prices in court filing: “ the material additional costs to Spirit proved to be too much for its available liquidity to absorb… When fuel prices spiked and stayed high, and it became clear to the Debtors that the reorganization contemplated by the Plan was no longer feasible due to the unforeseeable circumstances, the Debtors worked quickly to seek sufficient incremental capital to sustain their operations.”
Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline.
FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal.
Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.
Whichever airlines hire Spirit Flight Attendants will be the luckiest airlines in the world. Aviation’s first responders from Spirit are among the best Flight Attendants and people I know. Amazing people. Amazing Flight Attendants. Forever Spirit.
