Our old friend Mark Hawthorn of @LandmarkInvsGrp is bragging about buying bargain freeholds with no ground rent from nervy institutions. Where's the pay-off? Because it can't be service charges, obviously. And as it's a bargain, there's no need for much enfranchisement compo later on, is there?
