@dominicahern@martinboydlkp@FreeLeasehlders Main two:
Service charge regulation - agents are generally doing their best but some residents refuse to believe
Sensible reforms to onerous ground rents, if current proposals passed they will solve little and unleash a wave of second order consequences
@dominicahern@martinboydlkp@FreeLeasehlders They aren’t specific, they just challenge and shout down everything and anything.
Like politics they are “the opposition” and seek to oppose everything. If they were to agree with anything it would start to negate their existence. They want airtime and attention not progress
@martinboydlkp@rainbowland1979@LEASEonline I can assure you I want no part in a commonhold world. Not that I think it will ever get off the ground.
I’m still astounded they you had your chance to publicly back it and yet couldn’t muster the courage to do so.
@HarryScoffin I think living in a multi million pound Canary Wharf duplex apartment with no mortgage qualifies you as an elite Harry
You can pretend all you want but the facts are the facts
@martinboydlkp@LEASEonline You wanted assurance that the Government, who pay your salary, would somehow underwrite your property values.
I can’t fathom why you would want or need this unless Commonhold isn’t the panacea you want everybody to believe
All rather hypocritical
@martinboydlkp@LEASEonline That’s not what you said, you were very clear around your reservations. It’s a whole different ballgame when your own equity and that of your neighbours is at risk isn’t it? Seems your opinion changes depending who is at risk
@critithinkstar@katesineed@FreeLeasehlders I can see Kate in the thread but not her posts as I blocked her some time back
A great many RMCs are ran by freeholders, us included, as the developer or residents didn’t want to take them on. Nobody will tell you that as it doesn’t serve the narrative they have been fed
@critithinkstar@katesineed@FreeLeasehlders …it will make property owners more liable and magnify their downside risks substantially, as well as those of lenders
There’s no tangible benefit over leasehold and lots of negatives
@critithinkstar@FreeLeasehlders He needs to remain relevant so will say anything for attention. The reality is he lives in a multi million pound apartment with no mortgage (owned by his mother)
@FreeLeasehlders@irena_vanat All commissions and associated payments are clearly disclosed. Harry has never owned a property, nor would he ever let the truth get in the way of a story
