@1goodtern Even if the hantavirus didn’t mutate, thanks to Covid there has been worldwide damage to practically everyone’s immune systems since the outbreak in the Andes that the paper was written about in 2018… the conditions of the spread in that paper are not necessarily the same as now
@SenRandPaul The WH *Correspondents* Dinner is a private affair and never would have been held at the WH in the first place. It’s been held at that hotel since 1921. Also, the hotel seats 2500+. Trump’s ugly ballroom plan will only seat 900+ so it won’t even have been big enough.
@HelenBranswell Covid isn’t a problem “except for kids, elderly, and immune compromised people” who are EXACTLY who the rest of us should be protecting. Also, no discussion of Long Covid, or the cardiovascular, organ, and immune system damage that can result from repeated infections.
@WhiteHouse The White House *Correspondents* dinner has never been hosted by the White House. It’s hosted by the journalists who cover the WH. It’s been at the Hilton hotel since 1921! Also the Hilton ballroom seats 2000+ and your proposed hideous monstrosity would only seat 1,000ish
@PhilBLiberty@TheMaineWonk The White House Correspondents Dinner is not a White House or government event. It is a private event that has been held at that hotel since 1921 with zero incidents prior to this year, even with prior Presidents always attending, and will never be held at the White House.
@JessStarlite@DellCares Hey @DellCares as a long time Dell customer what’s up with not letting her pay for service? This makes no sense. I’d expect you to continue to stand behind your product.
@JDVance How did you go to Yale Law School and now you are deliberately misunderstanding basic constitutional law and legal precedent? You’re an embarrassment to your Con Law professor, for sure.
