@Helenreflects Thanks for posting this Helen - I really appreciate all your posts about Covid. I'm taking the exact same approach as you are and it's tough to sometimes still feel like it's "not enough"!
@keith_wilson Well, if cheese could be a culinary category then milk certainly could be. This is kind of interesting actually - categories that have weirdly expanded to include imitations of paradigm cases. Someone write a paper!
@danwilliamsphil Christ. I suppose it is at least somewhat amusing to note the irony of them being so dismissive of mere "philosophy" while characterising your arguments uncharitably and inaccurately.
@Helenreflects (and perhaps non-overachievers who experience this are sadly overlooked even more as it's not as inconsistent with their previous behaviour)
@Helenreflects This is the third time (other two are people I know) I've heard this story - perfectionist, overachieving teens/young adults suddenly experiencing CFS for 12-18 months. I wonder if the overachieving part actually has anything to do with it, or if that is what makes it notable
@timcrane102 How strange. To me, it would have been surprising if these programmes *didn't* ace these tests. Why else would we not allow students to use the internet while taking tests?!
@keith_wilson A student of mine (I work with teens) expressed this thought to me recently!
"It's admirable that he decided to buy twitter and then he actually did it."
"But should he be able to do that?"
"Obviously not!!!" π
