@twostraws Castlevania Rondo of Blood has my favorite version of “Vampire Killer”. https://t.co/ebs8mgYCk6
On that topic, I’m also fond of the Roland SC-55 arrangements in the X68000 Castlevania game.

@twostraws Chris Huelsbeck released an orchestral version of the Turrican II soundtrack. I like the arrangement of “Freedom” in particular. https://t.co/VpMjjT2ELE
A new hot take on the Foundation library has been announced by Tony Parker at the @SwiftServerConf conference!
Open source, and 100% Swift~! It also means full 1:1 parity between platforms, there is no more "the other foundation impl" (corelibs) 🎉 #swift

RIP Fred Brooks, who wrote the classic book on software engineering, *The Mythical Man-Month*. His work on operating systems at IBM gave us the 8-bit byte:
Calling all Black, Latinx, & Female Devs/Founders! Have you launched (or preparing to launch) a native iOS app in the App Store? 👀 Would you like to learn from and build relationships with awesome people @Apple like me, @linda, @pxpgraphics, & @aabato1??

I’ve never loved a dog so much. He was with us for 15 of his 19 years. Always affectionate, always inviting guests to play from the moment they walked in. Going to miss him horribly.
Digital Lounges are back for WWDC22! Can't wait to show you folks what we have in store next week. Registration is open now — choose the topics you're interested in to reserve your spot for those activities. https://t.co/8PGe8vct5g
@kieransenior @xenadu02 Be prepared to constantly bug them for submitting for permission to operate once they’ve finished installation. If possible, refuse to send the final payment until you’ve received PTO.
@kieransenior @xenadu02 We’ve had our Solar Roof turned on since the beginning of the year. Happy with the product and everyone we worked with in person. Dealing with anyone not in person — especially the project advisors — was frustrating.
@v_pradeilles@YSBoomOfficial@mainactor The `@MainActor` annotation is honored in completion handlers, but in Swift 5.5 you have to opt in: since nothing in ViewController or ViewModel is opting into Swift concurrency, you don’t get any errors for the UILabel access.
@v_pradeilles@YSBoomOfficial@mainactor If you declare `var updateUI` as `(@MainActor (_ newDataToDisplay: String?) -> Void)?`, you’ll get a compile-time error inside the closure passed to `fetchNumber`, because it’s not guaranteeing that `updateUI` is being called on the main thread.
@kieransenior Indonesian repurposes “c” to solely make the sound of “ch”, and that makes a whole lot more sense to me than it being sometimes “s”, sometimes “k”, and only uniquely useful when combined with “h”.
