@elizabethcatte This Appalachian girl is forever in your debt. You book helped heal my rage at the publishing industry and how we mountain people are so misunderstood, even from within. I am heartbroken by your pain. All I can do is keep you in my heart. Much love and deep, deep respect
As a solo-business owner, I depend on my computer to run my business. And that’s why I chose @Apple. Why would you treat your loyal customers this way? Big time disappointment. 5/5
So disappointed in @AppleSupport. Air has been sent for repairs for a recurring problem twice. 36 hours after last repair, problem occurred again. *Begged* for a replacement machine the last time, was refused. 1/
P.S. The store in Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax (which I drove 90 minutes to get to) *refuses* to replace my machine, after Apple couldn’t fix it twice — and cost me 12 days of work. 4/
Returning machine a *third* time with fingers crossed that I’ll get a replacement. 12 days of work lost to this debacle. Talked to no fewer than four techs online and three techs in store.
I grew up in the rural South. I know A LOT of white evangelical anti-choice women who've had abortions. And every single one of those women told me their abortions "didn't count."
@EllenRhudy For me, it was about all of these things, plus: never going barefoot and wearing only Vionics or shoes with inserts created only for my feet. I did that for years, and now I can be more lax.
@elonsavedus@ConflictOfValue @GinnyCPickles @MuzzaFerguson@JannekeParrish Jesus you're ignorant. 1st week of pg begins on first day after last period. ~4 weeks later, conception is possible. 2 weeks later, cardiac activity can be detected. Pg tests work at 6 wks after the beginning of the cycle. 6 wks; we need 6 wks to know.
@elonsavedus@ConflictOfValue @GinnyCPickles @MuzzaFerguson@JannekeParrish Actually, they're accurate. The heart is fully formed at about 20 wks. Cardiac activity can be detected at about 6 wks, but this is not a heart. "Heartbeat laws" are misnomers.
@elonsavedus@ConflictOfValue @GinnyCPickles @MuzzaFerguson@JannekeParrish This question presupposes that there can be a universal "cut-off date" for abortion. Lots of good reasons for third trimester abortion (almost all are done because of the health of the pg person). Bottom line: the pg person and their dr know best.
@biggus_dikkus@LOLGOP I have had conversations with pro-life men who have said that they "trust god" in the case of an ectopic pg. They would not "allow" their wives to seek medical treatment. If the wife dies, it was god's will.
