Lawmakers passed a bill to end the school mask mandate the same week this deadly virus took the lives of a 15-year-old Kentucky child and a school worker in Magoffin County and a week after the passing of a school administrator in Lee County. 1/2
@NoetheMatt Yeah I let mine expire post-PLA and won’t renew again until my library decides to send me again and will pay for it. They pay for the important local organizations (KLA, KPLA, SWON). #meh#sacrifices
@NoetheMatt Yeah in KY we were offering like $20k over and losing so many houses! OH was bad too but we couldn’t offer as much over due to how high the taxes were versus KY! It is wild!
@NoetheMatt Cincinnati has so many branches, but I don’t know if they have free parking available and I am leaning toward no at the main branch. I have only walked to it from paid parking elsewhere and it hasn’t ever been my main destination. (I avoid downtown whenever possible)
@NoetheMatt Tulsa (main/downtown) and Salt Lake City (main/downtown) both had parking garages when I visited them, but I cannot remember now if we had to pay for that parking. I think it was free though. (Because of course I visit the library when we vacation places.)
@NoetheMatt It depends on the coursework and program that the person went through. It is more like as you said a nice checkbox to check, but not a deal breaker depending on other experience, degrees, and knowledge.
@NoetheMatt@gabbs415 Only a year in the dorms and if not for CAP, Kees money, and Pell grants then I wouldn’t have afforded it. Even when I was partially alone up here when Justin was looking for a job to fully move up, he paid half of the rent. Definitely too expensive.
@NoetheMatt Yes consistent communication from the director on phases and availability, offered paid time off for our shots, and supervisors prepared to offer coverage on our desks if staff have reactions that impact their schedule
@NoetheMatt It’s definitely getting wild, we finally are under contract for a house, 🤞🏻let’s hope it all goes well and the bank/appraiser agree our house is worth what we offered in this market!
@NoetheMatt Can one count how many people are shook that I don’t want their VHS tapes they found in Grandma’s attic or a set of outdated encyclopedias... we are not a book recycler, we don’t even add donations to our collection usually, it goes to the Friends- it has to have re-sale value!
@NoetheMatt We just started taking them again, we have donation book drops but people still have been putting them in the regular book drops even when we haven’t been taking them. we tell them now that we only take “gently used” items and anything not meeting our rules will be disposed of.
