@danny_robins Oooh, this has just reminded me I've got one to catch up on my longer than usual drive tomorrow 😊😊😊😊😊 suddenly the 6am start will be easier
Dear Cabinet Office
Our lives were in your hands.
Whatever you're hiding was a matter of life and death to us.
Some of us were lucky to survive.
Many did not.
We're entitled to know why.
Every little bit of it.
Michael Rosen
@mayodweller Having seen and heard teachers moan about kids who have been showering 🤢 and 💩 from both ends coming back before 48 hours are up, this reeks of rank hypocrisy on the part of decision-makers
The woman's methods suggest an absolute dearth of the any sort of empathy required to understand the issue here so whilst I'm disappointed I'm in no way surprised....
There are times when I really wish I could risk using certain terms on Twitter. There’s no way she doesn’t know. What a desperate, sick, pathetic, odious individual, unfit to be anywhere near education.
@Nito_Onna_Helen@HiltonHotels Compare to @premierinn where the male receptionist wrote down my room number and pointed to it. Later explained he wasn't being rude but he doesn't announce out loud the room number of a lone female guest if men are in the queue behind her
@GrantSana It's also a particular bug-bear that the CV / uni circus looks for activities available to every middle class young person in urban areas whilst young people in rural areas struggle to access them due to lack of buses / fares, distance etc.
@GrantSana But so good for their CVs, dah-ling. We are creating this monster by no longer valuing the teenager who helped their local Brownie Pack or did their Nan's shopping every weekend.
@EsylltMair If they wanted to do it then let them pay for it. Or do you mean unnerving that there are people who'd actually pay for that sort of thing? Sorry, Twitter not very nuanced! (Shame Carlo didn't pay for it himself....)
Time and again press portray men linked to killing women as ‘kind and gentle’, but when women kill they’re labelled ‘jealous’ and ‘vengeful’.
This reporting is an insult to victims of male violence and to families bereaved of fatal domestic abuse.
If there was a penny for every time we saw this fawning narrative about "quiet / loner" perps we'd be able to fund DV far better than the government. Mind you, it's a low bar....
Do you have any idea how it feels, to suspect if you are ever beaten to death, even by your fiancé, that the narrative will focus on the man and how he seemed nice, and not about you, and your untimely woman death?
