When results are not going your way, it’s natural to see things through a more negative lens. Many #AstonVilla fans right now are understandably frustrated. They see a flat team, with players lacking confidence, and results are not good.
So an alternative, more positive, perspective may not be the one they most want to hear. But here it goes
The team, limited by the finances everyone knows about which cannot be forgotten, collapsed after their regular centre midfielders got injured. But McGuinn might return for the Lille game and Tielemas for the second leg or even before. And when they do, Morgan Rogers can stop doing everything as he is trying now, and focus, which will bring a much better Rogers, #AVFC best player.
I feel Unai Emery looks at difficulties as obstacles to beat, challenges. So his energy multiplies. He is convinced the solutions he has applied in the past, with their multiple variations, still work for this team. And so far, that way of working has worked for him at Villa
Europe will be for this next round (and I am sure more rounds) a place of excitement and success.
That for the short and medium term.
And for the long term… It is clear this team has given a lot, some recycling might be needed. And if that happens, I am sure Olabe/Emery have identified players, half a dozen, perhaps even more, that can come within budget, with new energy, new traits that can help the structure. It is important to play in the Champions League next season to bring those of higher quality.
And with that, Unai will also renew his own energies and continue the adventure in Birmingham, which I am convinced is the best for him and for the club.
Can you look at the picture from a little bit of emotional distance and apply some logic? Not easy, I know, but you have enough reasons from past experiences to trust the process
Darren Grimes, you pathetic little Brexit cumstain, with your greasy rat-face and that nasal whine like a choking chihuahua mid-fuck. Deputy Leader of Durham? More like Deputy Dildo, riding Farage's shriveled cock for scraps while your "Reasoned" shitshow flops harder than your limp Brexit boner. Talentless twat, flip-flopping faster than a whore dodging STDs—go crawl back up your own arse, you irrelevant wanker. No one gives a shit.
Our entitled fans talking like we should be clear in 3rd and it’s Emery’s fault we aren’t?
We have no right to be where we are, and Emery is the reason dropping from 3rd to 4th feels like disaster!
We are surrounded by billion pound squads.
You don’t fucking know better! #avfc
Up the fucking Villa. Up Unai Emery. Up every single one of them that plays in our shirt. Up the entire fucking club. 11 games. All out. Stop the rut here, now.
#THFC sacking Frank is harsh. The guy has taken them from 17th to 16th in the league, and established their position in the food chain by beating #AVFC to Gallagher by paying €15m more for him. Clout.
If you’d told me we’d be third this season after 25 games, I’d probably have laughed, I almost certainly wouldn’t have believed you.
@AVFCOfficial are having a brilliant season, we all just need to retain our self belief and keep going 👍🏻
Up the Villa! 💜🩵

Why does Farage get a pass? Seriously, why aren’t the press all over him for everything? He’s in the Epstein Files, he broke the ministerial code, the stuff he got up to at school would have brought anyone else down… Why does this honking, frog-faced arse get a pass?
Took my son to see his first match at Villa Park yesterday. Had our first ever goal celebration together snatched away from us by some nerd in a suit hundreds of miles away.
Get used to the disappointment Kiddo. UTV
Emery: “We don’t have the potential to sign, for example, Manchester City signing Semenyo, Tottenham signing Gallagher. OK, but we have our own power & we will exploit our capacity.
"We are creating something special here. More than the capacity to buy everything we want.” #AVFC
