[LLCU322jp @llcu322jplatis]

We discussed the different opportunities to incorporate Indigenous knowledge and practices into/onto Queen's campus #LLCU322

The Walia reading got me thinking about proposed "decolonization of Queen's as an institution". What might that look at? #LLCU322

(2/2)Immigrants give their allegience to nations they move to & become integrated into the society of their future. They coexist! #LLCU322

[LLCU322jp @llcu322jplatis]

"Confession of a Canadian ‘’white girl’’ resonated with me & the encouragement of mutual respect/reconciliation is pertinent #LLCU322 #ally

Canada's colonial-settler history is important to understand because the aftermath is still occurring today & needs to be changed #LLCU322

Was this an effective way to explicate injustices done to Aboriginal people? Did the exercise turn horror in2 a role playing activity?

[LLCU322jp @llcu322jplatis]

(2/3) Comparing blankets to land, dolls to children, turned backs to exile of community members, & cue cards to death and sickness #LLCU322

[LLCU322jp @llcu322jplatis]

(1/3) I'm also wondering if the Blanket Exercise had any negative effects? #LLCU322

[LLCU322jp @llcu322jplatis]

The blanket exercise challenged me in ways readings about colonization of Canada & indigenous populations in Canada could never do #LLCU322
