@karunchandhok@CroftyF1 agree that Hamilton clearly made a few seconds up on Verstappen/Bearman, but surely he was disadvantaged by the same amount because of a lunge from Verstappen in the first place. He was still similar time difference to Leclerc before both instances?
@simsgazette@failstrat Alain raises a good point about maybe being the chance for an eighth (the pinnacle statistic for F1 stained by what happened in #AD21 ). But the follow on point I’ve never heard mentioned is what if Max finishes his career with 8 titles, Lewis 7 and AD21 is the deciding factor
@MattP1Gallagher Surely all cars have to have the same penalty? If everyone drove through a red light at the end of a pit lane they would all get a penalty?
@SkySportsF1 honestly what happened to leaving a cars width when a car is along side….the apex shouldn’t be relevant and it would solve all these issues created by letting certain individuals get away with it for too long. We might actually go back to some side by side racing.
@deansean77@JoshJ0hn@FastestPitStop But isn’t that the point. Red flag, everyone drives into the pits, no change in results, and medical team/marshalls deal with the incident. Letting them complete the lap, means all cars have to drive past the accident another time for no reason on the victory lap
@JoshJ0hn@FastestPitStop I agree with this comment, but lack of red flag meant all cars had to go past the scene of the accident a second time unnecessarily, potentially putting volunteer marshalls and medical teams in danger. What if say a fire had started for example.
@FastestPitStop 100% should have been red flag instantly. Blind corner, at speed, and not considering hot brakes at the end of a race and high chance of possible fire requiring Marshall’s on track immediately (with a car in a potentially difficult position to extract yourself)
Penalty for Alonso for the Russell incident: 20 seconds added to his race time and three penalty points.
And yet Golden Boy just got the 10 seconds for Jeddah ‘21. 🤷🏻♂️ #F1#AusGP
@SkySportsF1@tedkravitz why is @F1@fia putting driver and marshal safety in jeopardy by not red flagging! Safety should be paramount.
Another example of entertainment over rules.
By not red flagging you force the cars to drive past the scene of the accident again

I’m all up for @SkySportsF1 trying different things, but this weekends coverage has been a complete flop. Such a shame as the #AustralianGP has such a good fan base and none of the energy of the weekend has come across

#F1 coincidence?
@peter__bayer now CEO of @redbullracing 2nd team @AlphaTauriF1
For #AD2021 he was Secretary General for Sport,
Masi' boss
The @fia official who could invoke Right of Review.
The one who said that ICA independant judges would void the race
